Arbanassi is one of the most famous architectural reserve in Bulgaria. Situated on a rocky plateau about 5 km from the old town of Veliko Tarnovo. Arbanassi is a historic destination preferred by many tourists, who impresses with preserved Renaissance architecture of 16-17 centuries distant. Its inhabitants are involved in international trade and develop crafts as gold, copper, blacksmithing. In 1779 there was opened in the Bulgarian lands first Greek school.
