 Every year on the last Wednesday of August in the city Bunyol, located in Valencia, the festival "La Tomatina". Thousands of enthusiasts from around the world come to this festival to engage in battle with each other, using hundreds of tons of rotten tomatoes.

The fight began with tomatoes when someone daredevil climb the wooden stairs, carefully covered with oil to reach smoked ham, but this proved impossible. Battle continues for exactly one hour.

During the week of the festival the city's population increased several times. Between 20,000 and 40,000 are tourists who come to enjoy as paint except tomatoes are held parades, competitions, music playing and all this adds to the beauty of fireworks.

Local retailers prepare for "tomato battle", covering its stores with huge nylon, fire trucks and wash the traces of the streets.
