 Penyo Penev was born on 7 May 1930. in the small mountain village Dobromirka, Sevlievo into a crowded family and some letters he had reserved a bleak childhood that made its mark on his life after graduating from high school in Sevlievo, went to live in Dimitrovgrad and there shall be included in the brigade movement, worked as a journalist in "Dimitrovgrad righteousness," and later a collaborator of the newspaper "Hornet", his first poem was published in 1947. As a student he began writing poetry in school proved to be a great reader, very damp ardor and inspiration when reciting their poems or somebody else, he was silent and humble man with great enthusiasm and faith is included in the brigade movement in a number of youth projects and continues to create. His adult life was linked entirely to the construction of Dimitrovgrad, where moisture is not only his work but also their hopes, and love bear. Many of his poems are included in various collections and literary readings. Some of his humorous and satirical works out in 1956. the pages of newspapers "Dimitrovgrad righteousness" and "Hornet" to work, they infuriated many people and was forced to leave his beloved city, and the only book of poetry out of the poet, "Good morning, everybody," published during his lifetime devoted to the construction of Dimitrovgrad . At the same time there are many problems and concerns in their family life filled with hardship and poverty bezperspektivnostta pushes him to alcohol, meets misunderstanding and disrespect to break the will and his hopes, fell into a severe depression that fails to address and April 27 1957 ended his life. In 1962. P.Penev receive posthumous award for literature for his poetry value. City residents express love and tribute to the talented poet, creating a museum reflecting the life and dramatic short but fruitful creative life of the author who serenaded brigade movement and socialism, his name brings a lovely park in the city. In 1964. is prepared exhibition dedicated to the work of this remarkable poet of the "Museum of socialist construction" in Dimitrovgrad which later-1970. moved into the house where he lived on the Boulevard "Blagoev", but remained under his guidance. The exhibition begins with childhood and going through troubles, his first creativity and ends with a room where he lived with his family, extends to 170 square meters, combining two apartments of the building which today is municipal property. Rich collection of the museum store more than 1,200 pieces of original letters and manuscripts, shown is the largest letter of the dying of his letters, notebooks with notes and unique works filled with sadness, but lots of love, personal belongings are preserved, we see Painted portrait of the poet by his son - painter Vladimir Penev. Museum works to promote the work of Penyo Penev, organizing competitions, literary meetings, exhibitions, discussions, prepared and presented pageants often anniversaries, conduct scientific conferences, the museum issued a number of promotional materials - brochures, newspapers, poetry, appear documentaries. In the year 1970 onwards are held celebrations dedicated to the work of the great poet P.Penev of his birth date is established the National Literature Award "Penyo Penev," which is awarded for merit and excellence in poetry.
