  The Monastery is situated in northern Bulgaria in the beautiful, green vegetation Dryanovska River and surrounded by high limestone cliffs, turning it as a fortress. Located near Dryanovo. The town is reached by car and by rail on the line Rousse-Momchilgrad.Monastery entirely inhabited by monks and is operational. Was founded in the second Bulgarian Empire under Tsar Kaloyan after the relics of St. Michael Soldier of Potuka in Tarnovo. The procession spend the night along the river Dryanovska and sacred place now stands the monastery. For centuries Dryanovo monastery was a center of Bulgarian education and culture. Has twice been destroyed by the Turks, but was quickly restored to maintain strong Bulgarian spirit. Today is the only remaining part of the temple and he did not in its original form.
