 Chatama forest center is located on the western shore of the lake. Beglika in a protected area Chatama. It was created by forestry Beglika and association Bikearea to operate for trainings, demonstrate practices for sustainable development and tourism, nature conservation initiatives. The center is composed of seven massive buildings used in the past by forestry. Part of forestry Chatama to 80s were buildings. Then comes the period of decay for 30 years. In 2010, a project of the association Bikearea been restored and furnished buildings. Systems for generating electricity from the sun and water heating are installed. In Chatama besides information about the region and offer services such as accommodation and meals, adventure camps for children, guides and ekipirovska rent. A very popular event in the Western Rhodopes is organized in the region, namely Beglika Festival.
