 Historical Museum in Teteven was founded in 1932 under the leadership of Charity Committee "George Benkovski". Initially, the museum has represented House Memorial, it was built to honor the sacred memory of all Teteven who gave their lives for the freedom of his people. In 1974 the museum was refurbished and extended, and then open a new exhibition zapoznavashta our past Teteven from ancient antiquity to the collapse of Ottoman rule. Historical Museum presents its exhibits in three separate parts. Archaeology Section are set tools from Stone Age and the remains of the life of the Thracians. Ethnography Section are all typical Teteven crafts. Revival In the last section summarizes the participation of indigenous peoples in national liberation struggles through photos, documents and personal belongings of the brave Bulgarians. Historical Museum is part of Teteven hundred tourist sites in Bulgaria.
