In ethnographic exhibition "Kotel Renaissance urban life" covered in Kyorpev house and opened for visitors in 1960, can be seen a large number of articles related to lifestyle, culture and art in the eighteenth and nineteenth century This exhibition presents our distinctive national presence and traditions passed down from generation to generation. Festive folk costumes and beautiful fabrics are evidence of the ability of the Kotel to create beauty, to educate the harmony of colors and patterns. The rich ethnographic heritage here includes characteristic excellent local folk customs, special sculpture in the decoration of ritual bread, gems of verbal and vocal folk music.
The house itself was built in 1872 and bears the marks of the late Revival architecture and unique symmetrical beam-style wooden structure. She now testifies to the growth of the Bulgarian Renaissance building, especially in the second half of the nineteenth century exterior and interior architecture are authentic and represent the dwelling unit as a whole - bedroom, living room, girl's room, homespun workshop, weaving, summer kitchen, cellar, warehouses. The original exhibits reflect the reality of Kotel town house in its aspects as home, workplace and business.
