In the home of Jordan Yovkov in Zheravna is an exposition dedicated to the great Bulgarian writer. In the low oak building type "ground Kamchiyska Zheravna house" in the neighborhood "Big Bird" are personal and family items on Jordan Yovkov, photo documents, original manuscripts and first editions of the rich artistic heritage of the writer. The exhibition is focusing on the creativity of the writer and his relationship with the nature of the Kotel. Several things impress here and among them are: a reconstruction of the first meeting between the Rada and Shibil, gathered a collection of works of the writer and the pen with which he wrote "Balkan legends." In the yard of the home of the writer is his monument.
Much of the life of the writer goes into Dobrudja, where he worked as a teacher, but his childhood and teenage years spent in his native village Zheravna. Later he participated in three wars: Balkan, Balkan and First World. Experience in the wars in numerous documentary tells essays and short stories.
Yovkov his career began as a poet, but his short stories brought him fame of a great master. Written in recent years in the life of writer's collections "Evenings at Antimovo Khan", "Balkan Legends" and "If you could talk" with his novel "Farm near the border," a deep imprint in Bulgarian literature. Translated into over 20 languages tvorchestoto Yovkov is known beyond the borders of our country.
