  Nikola Vaptsarov Museum opened back in 1953. The museum is located in the birthplace of the poet, in the center of one of the most popular Bulgarian winter resorts of Bansko.Here you will be able to get acquainted with life, works and works of Nikola Vaptsarov, and his family, which to this day a matter of respect and interest. The family of the famous poet living in the house until the moment it was declared a museum. Thanks to the support of his mother Helen and his brother Boris in the house museum is preserved a family spirit Vaptsarov, everything is tidy and preserved in its authentic form in which he grew up and lived revolitsioner poet. Besides his brother Nicholas had Vaptsarov and sister named Radha. Whole life time of the artist is collected in the two-storey building. Interesting facts of his life, his belongings, documents, photos, and his debut at the premises of the house on the second floor. In a special showcase exposed Vaptsarov awards, he received posthumously the Order "People's Freedom 1941-1944 year," and Honorary Peace Prize passed on to his mother. The first floor is furnished family tree of the family except the family of Vaptsarov here includes many of the famous families of the city. On the ground floor hall for exhibitions here tell stories passed from mother to Vaptsarov, listen to favorite songs of the poet, his poems are read and screened films in his honor. The fact that a matter of great interest in people is the origin of the family of Nicholas Vaptsarov. The fact is that this particular house has given interesting surname of this family. Citizens of Bansko called the house in which lived the family of the popular Bulgarian poet "Vaptsarnitsata" because before they cause, here are housed painters, and swimwear dialect vaptsarnitsa mean painting. The house museum is part of the Hundred National Tourist Sites of Bulgaria. The museum is open year round, you can visit it every day.
