Stanislav Dospevski is the name of Zafir Zograf. It is one of the most famous artists of the Renaissance period and is one of the first in Bulgaria to academic art education. In his teen years he went to Moscow where he graduated in painting, sculpture and architecture at the Moscow Art School and then moved to St. Petersburg and continued his education at the Imperial Art Academy. Dospevski raised in a family of painters, his father Dimitar Zograf and Zachary Zograf his uncle. After completion of his education he returned to Bulgaria, lives in Samokov and Pazardzhik. Stanislav Dospevski is the founder of secular realistic portrait. In the Russo-Turkish War, was arrested and taken to Constantinople in prison, where he died a year later. The house-museum was built in 1864 by renowned specialists Bratzigovo. It is a two-storey adobe building with typical Renaissance architecture. The museum has six rooms and a hall where there are objects and objects of everyday life of the famous painter and his family. The arrangement of furniture and the smell of the situation have been preserved in its authentic form. Presented are original oil paintings. You will be impressed by the unique paintings of the house apparel. It is painted both inside and outside, which distinguishes it from other houses. The most valuable exhibits are located in the facial room of the house are family portraits among which is Bulgarian "Mona Lisa" - masterpiece "Domnika." In beautiful green lawn lies the artist's studio, which today hosts temporary themed exhibitions.
