The monastery "Virgin Mary" or as more commonly known - Monastery "Seven Thrones" is located at the foot of Mount Izdrimets in Western Balkan region passes Gabrovnitsa River. The nearest village is a village Osenovlag which is located under another mountain peak - Koznitsa. The village and the monastery are the municipality of Svoge, and if you do not drive, they can be reached by bus from the station Eliseina distance is about 12 km. It is believed that the monastery was built around the XI-XII century and its first abbot was Father Gabriel.
The name "Seven Thrones" monastery has received over seven chapels (throne) of the old church "Holy Mother". There are two legends about the origin of the name church followers. One tells of seven boyars from the Second Bulgarian Kingdom, who have founded seven villages around - Osenovlag, Ogradishte, Ogoya, Leskovdol, Bov, Bukovets and jelly. In XIX century the monastery was acting school.
Today, restored in the 70s of the 20th century monastery complex has parking and offers shelter (50 beds) and food (a restaurant).
