In the center of Sopot is situated nunnery "Blessed Virgin." The monastery church was built in the fifteenth century, and a century later built the temple and residential buildings and the site has acquired the status of a convent. Convent convent enjoyed as a girls' school.
In 1877, during the Russo-Turkish War monastery complex experienced a fire, after which the complex survived only a residential building, the church and the vine, which to this day is alive and bearing fruit each year. Church of the nunnery has an impressive architecture, dug in the ground, the other one is in church Dobarsko. Temple will impress except for its rich history and picturesque preserved iconostasis and frescoes from the 17th century, called "Saints' heads."
Near the convent is situated church "St. Apostles Peter and Paul "was built in 1846 by prominent artists from Bratsigovo. The church was one of the largest churches built during that time. It is a pseudo impressive architecture. Here you can see faint traces of frescoes and iconostasis modest. In 1900 the church obtained a large bell. Today it is a monument of culture.
