    Ethnographic Museum "Danubian Fishing and Boat Construction" is the first and only museum of its kind in the countries along the Danube. The museum is located in Tutrakan, and this is not accidental because the basic livelihood of indigenous peoples since ancient times is fishing. Ethnographic Museum opened in 1974, where even today store bits, moral and material culture of the population of fishing villages along the Danube. The museum exposition presents rich ethnographic legacy of local people Tutrakanski area and settlements near the Danube. Host of the museum building, built in the early 20th century, which was declared a cultural monument. The museum exposition is presented in seven rooms and two interior, where the sequence is arranged authentic gear from antiquity and modernity. Here you can see the unique line of bone and copper, guns, karmatsi, clay weights for fishing nets and more. There are also different types of nets made of Tutrakanski fishermen-oriented, Yang difan, laspernik, ukleynik, setka, serme and others. Crafts and craftsmanship of the fishermen of the lower river is reflected in numerous photos and bits and habits of local exposure is presented in the internal arrangement of fishing house. Special attention is paid to the presentation of the boat, which dates back to Roman times. Then and there was even a workshop for repairing boats. And in the late 19th century Tutrakan was a major producer of boats for Romania, Austria, Serbia and others. Then the city is also a major point of the Danube fishing. Exports of fish, fish oil and caviar grows, except in our land, the city began supplying quality fish products and a number of European countries.
