The greatest revival house on the Balkan Peninsula is located in the small town of Melnik our homeland. Kordopulova house was built in the 18th century and today is preserved in its authentic form. It was owned by wealthy and famous merchant named Manol Kordopulova. Four building was built specifically for trade in wine. It has performed in wine production process and storage. Impressive house is known for its impressive interior. Here you will see antique furniture, windows with Venetian glass, woodcarving and beautifully painted walls. Besides its robust capabilities, the hosts and they had very refined taste, as evidenced by furnishing their house. Family Kordopulova are betting the natural materials and were connoisseurs of handmade. You will have noticed the rich variety of colorful rugs covering hardwood floor throughout the house. Besides being very beautiful rugs are all handmade, which makes them even more valuable.
Kordopulova house consists of ground floor where there are cellars for storing wine. They dug into the rock in the form of a tunnel 200 meters long, which is reminiscent of the maze. The maximum capacity of wineries in Kordopulova house up to 300 tons of wine. Half-floor of the house was used for the sale of wine and the remaining two floors are wealthy farmers lived in the house. Today, they are converted into a museum where you can learn about the culture and traditions of the Bulgarians lived in the days of the Renaissance. Any visitor to the unique house can enjoy the famous Melnik wine, which is quite a favorite elixir both Bulgarian and European market.
