 Bridge over the River Osum in Lovech is a masterpiece built by renowned master Nikola Fichev only a covered bridge of its kind on the Balkan Peninsula is a symbol of the city, connects the old with the new part. The bridge was built in between 1874-1876. In its construction to include local residents. High 7m. and 10 m wide. bridge is resting on massive stone withstood five and impresses with its length - over 84 meters. and rich decoration of sculptures of animals, people, birds, crafted from wood only without metal fittings, wooden wedges, it illuminates only the soft glow of gas lanterns, creating coziness and romance. In 1925. during a fire bridge Kolyo Ficheto burned today its appearance resembles most of the magnificent craftsmanship of the great master. The most famous attraction in town is a favorite of many residents and visitors.
