Makaza Pass

Makaza Pass is located in the Eastern Rhodopes Kardzhali region. It is the most direct route from South Bulgaria to the Aegean Sea. Above it are the remains of the castle, which is guarded minalogo it. In Greece it is called Nimphea and in Turkish means scissors. Ancient Makaza time in the Rhodopes is connected with the Greek city Maroneia near present resort Maronya. The most famous beach in the area is Fenari located on Thassos and Samothrace Ostrava.
In 1912 the pass was Makaza Battle of Balkan Torres. In this battle, the Bulgarian army struck the Turks, resulting in Thrace which was released in 1920 but after the border between Greece and Bulgaria Makaza pass break. After that was planned to be built railroad. This relationship is built up between the Horseshoe in Kardzhali Municipality. Railway line stops at 20 km below the Makaza. During World War II again planned resume construction of the railway line, but in practice this is not true.
Makaza Pass is about 40 kilometers from the Municipality. The lands of this place have centuries of history that is lost back. Many are architectural sites in this territory. Many of them show evidence of Thracian culture - Chernichevo cemetery in the village, the village Rogach tomb, ruins of temples, tombs and more.
In 2009 the building was renovated road to Greece through the Makaza Pass.

Заглавието трябва да гласи "ПроходЪТ Маказа".Няма плаж Фенари, правилното название е Фанари.
