Sredoka reserve is located about 3 km. the pretty town of Malko Tarnovo and 2 km. by Stoilovo. It extends over an area of 607.8 hectares. Declared a reserve in 1989 .. The reserve has reached the lower reaches of the river Mechi dol, where it flows into the river Veleka. This place is unique formed steep slopes of rocky sediment ponds, rocky rapids and waterfalls. The reserve preserved large areas of beech forests - eastern durmast, oak, oak trees and several variety of rare plant species. It is remarkable that in this place there are 140 annual forests of eastern beech. The most interesting here is the largest area of laurel, which is in the central part of the reserve. This is the only reserve in Strandja with vast meadows, pastures and large spaces.
