 They are nestled in the foothills of the Rila Mountains, a group of seven lakes of glacial origin. Located 2,500 meters altitude in the northwestern part of the mountain. The choice of the names of the lakes was not random, each of the lakes is associated with his name on a particular feature. The lake known as "tear" is famous for its crystal clear waters that allow visibility in depth, it is situated at the highest. "The Eye" is the deepest lake visiting Bulgaria. Lake "kidney" has the steep banks, and "Gemini" is the biggest lake area in the group. Lake "Trefoil" is irregular in shape, "Fish Lake" is the most shallow and "Lower Lake" is located at low, it is flowing water leaking from the other lakes.
