   In beautiful, scenic area along the river Rousse Lom, combining natural charm and valuable historical monuments are a number of rock monasteries. Behind thick stone walls dedicated to the Bulgarian alphabet monks guarded the Christian spirit and mind. Treasure hunters have destroyed most of the paintings in search of hidden treasures, is now only preserved rock monastery, which is associated with Dimitar Basarbovski. It is located near s.Basarbovo, 10 km. south of Ruse is the only active rock monastery, pilgrims take care of in the lush garden surrounding the wells dug by Dimitar. At the foot of the cliffs there are two rooms and cave serving as a dining room were built in 1956, many steps taken to niche inhabited by the saint. On the right side is the rock on with the church in 1941, wood-carved iconostasis and icons of the saint in full stature, and scenes from his life around and notices there are cave-tomb of a famous monk of the monastery, and ordered a museum collection.
