 Old consecrated Holy Water is located on the border between Rila mountain and plain box above. Consecrated ground has arisen due to fault crack that is formed between the valley and the mountains. Because it is located at the southern end of Sapareva bath, during Ottoman rule proceed on the mountain were ideal for sanctuary. It is related to local beliefs that springing water has healing qualities.
