Thracian sanctuary is located in the vicinity of. Gaberovo in Haskovo Municipality. It is Thracian cult facility type Cromlech. Represents stone calendar consisting of a vertical pyramidal stone blocks arranged in a circle with a diameter of ten meters. Dates back to 8-6 century BC. In the described circle are performed religious rituals. Proof of these religious rituals are different pottery and metal objects found in 1999. It was a sacred place of honor during the Middle Ages. Not far from the cromlech found two smaller facilities in which evidence was found for children's burials by cremation. Analogue of Thracian sanctuary / cromlech / British Stonehenge. The sanctuary was discovered by Dr. G. Nekhrizov in 1998 and today is kept in good condition.
Although not found direct parallels to the megalithic monument, no doubt about its Thracian origin. It is a great example of applying locally the traditions of MEGALAN construction to build such iconic structures, which are typical of the Thracians from the first millennium BC. BC.
