Smolyan Lakes are located on the Black River valley north under Mount Snow and Orpheus rocks in the Rhodope Mountains. The lakes are scattered throughout the valley starting from Orpheus rocks and reach the very Smolyan. Today there are well-formed 7 lakes, and in the past were 20, but most have become marshes or ponds. The first lake called Keranov puddle and at the end of Smolyan. Above it is the lesser Milusheva puddle. Along the road to Devin is located Silaga - third lake. Comfortable camping and fishing is at its lower end. On the way up is Osmanov puddle, and around it are several small ponds. Lagera- largest lake in area, is located right on the road to hut Smolyan Lakes. The most beautiful are famous last three lakes. They are the highest - under rocks. Grassy lake is on the way to the lift. Peat layer covers nearly 30% of its area. In summer they grow lush grasses. 6 meters away you will see and Bistro Lake. River sleeve connects the two lakes. Bistro Lake is considered the most beautiful of all the lakes. Venerable spruces grown in its waters, and large stones resembling small islands are scattered in the other part. Its waters are crystal clear. Cloudy Lake is the top, is situated 200 meters from Trevistoto and Bistro Lake. Steep path will take you there. It starts from the road between the two lakes. Be careful when you climb to the top lake because there is danger of falling stones. The lake is hidden in spruce forests under the rocks and the view is unique. The waters of the lake appear black and chamni, hence its name. Hard light reaches it. It is the deepest of all the lakes.
